PCH pharmacist appointed PSA Vaccination Ambassador

Perth Children's Hospital (PCH) pharmacist Jemma Keay has been appointed as a 2026 Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) Vaccination Ambassador, recognising her leadership in advancing pharmacist-led immunisation services and improving vaccine access for children and families.

The appointment was announced at PSA26, the national conference of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, where Jemma was recognised for her commitment to strengthening immunisation programs and championing the role of pharmacists in vaccination delivery.

As a pharmacist at PCH, Jemma has played an important role in expanding immunisation services within acute and outpatient paediatric care, supporting better access to vaccinations and helping protect children from vaccine-preventable diseases.

Jemma said she was honoured to be recognised by the PSA and to represent pharmacist immunisers at a national level.

“It is a privilege to be recognised by the PSA and to have the opportunity to represent pharmacist immunisers at a national level,” she said.

“At Perth Children's Hospital, we see firsthand the role vaccination plays in protecting children and preventing serious illness.” 

“I'm passionate about ensuring patients and families have access to safe and timely immunisation services, and I look forward to working with colleagues across Australia to promote the important contribution pharmacists make to vaccination and public health.”

The PSA Vaccination Ambassador Program recognises pharmacist leaders who are improving vaccination access, uptake and advocacy across Australia. Ambassadors contribute to national conversations on immunisation through conference presentations, media engagement and stakeholder collaboration.

PCH Chief Pharmacist Ben Ware congratulated Jemma on the achievement.
